Tsukumogami

Tsukumogami are inanimate objects that, once they have served their owner for 100 years, receive a soul and therefore become alive and self-aware.

By wrapping an antique metal pipe with wool yarn in a Japanese way, I also knew immediately that this would end with the release of the 'spirit'. This cutting open of the work also meant the completion of the work.
